Let me introduce myself!
My name is Elaine. I am originally from Vermont, but have called Utah home for the majority of my life. I have an awesome husband, 3 gorgeous girls, two mini bernedoodles, and chickens.
Dog grooming is my passion! I could literally talk your ear off if you let me!
I offer one-on-one, private grooming services and cater to the individual needs of each of my clients.
I am PetTech First Aid & CPR Certified and strive to constantly learn more about grooming and the pet industry so I can offer high quality services.
My goal is for every dog to create a positive association with grooming - and eventually be excited to come!
I hope I get the chance to meet your companion soon and have them looking and feeling their best!
One-on-One Private Sessions
I love that I get to work privately with each dog. I can to get to know them and form a bond much faster. Consistency builds trust, which is imperative to the grooming experience.
Working one-on-one also contributes to a much more relaxing and distraction free environment.
Enrichment Focused
My goal is for every dog to enjoy their spa experience.
When they start to struggle, I allow the dog to take breaks, or offer enrichment activities that create positive associations with grooming.
I also love to throw in some play time! Tug of war and fetch, are great bonding activities. I also incorporate a lot of sniffing activities to help keep dogs calm and happily distracted.
I never push dogs past their threshold of comfort. Instead, I use these opportunities to help them become comfortable using positive reinforcement. With an anxious dog, achieving the perfect haircut or nails should be something to work toward and not force.
